The Basics
Armour Heights has a lively and varied history. For many years, it was used as an air base (all the way up until the 1920’s). Afterwards, and following the development of the 401, this neighbourhood became what it is today – a great place for families to set up shop and live their lives.
The Accessibility
The first thing you’ll notice about Armour Heights is that the 401 cuts right through the middle of it. For most suburban neighbourhoods, this kind of access is unprecedented. Residents also have access to York Mills subway station, which gives the added advantage of navigating the city without a vehicle.

Owing to the neighbourhood’s middle-class roots, many of the homes here are classic suburban. That’s what makes this place perfect for families, with room to grow and large lots for kids to play on.
