The heart of Toronto’s East End revitalization, Leslieville is a quaint destination for young families looking for a charming place to call their own.

The Basics

East of the Don River, Leslieville’s main artery is Queen Street East (which runs all the way through this neighbourhood). That said, the neighbourhood itself runs south to Lake Shore Boulevard, and all the way to Gerrard to the north.

The Accessibility

The Queen streetcar is a common sight for those who call Leslieville home, and is one of the easiest ways to get in and around the downtown core. Commuters also have easy access to Lake Shore Boulevard, which offers access to the Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Expressway, making getting around the entire city a relative breeze.

The Local Homes

Like most of Toronto’s downtown neighbourhoods, Leslieville is primarily composed of semi-detached homes which were initially planned around the gardeners employed at the Toronto Nurseries in the 1850’s. This quaint collection of homes is perfect for young families who value charm, and even some new builds and condos that are now taking the area by storm.

The Lifestyle

The reason folks love Leslieville is the distinct, laid back lifestyle which the area affords. This is the place to be if you love brunch, casual strolls down Queen Street, and the myriad of specialty shops, restaurants, and boutiques which make up the area. You also have Toronto’s “Little India” at Gerrard and Coxwell, which features its own bustling (and growing) selection of area amenities.
