The Annex

Welcome to The Annex

Most known for its proximity to the illustrious grounds of the University of Toronto, the Annex is a well-regarded downtown neighbourhood.

The Basics

An affluent neighbourhood with highly-educated locals, the Annex sits just to the north of the University of Toronto’s St. George campus. Featuring Dupont Street to the north, Bathurst to the west, and Avenue Road to the east, this area is an exclusive enclave in the heart of Toronto.

The Accessibility

Thanks to its proximity to Bloor Street, the Annex offers easy access to both subway lines – making getting around the city a breeze. Spadina Avenue, as well, offers access to the streetcar and the Gardiner Expressway for commuters by car.

The Local Homes

This is where you’re going to find some of the most stunning homes in downtown Toronto. Mostly residential, the Annex is filled with Victorian and Edwardian architectural stylings, as well as mansions built in the 1880’s and early 1900’s. For those who loves details, the homes here are absolutely gorgeous – rounded arches, detailed turrets, and much more.

The Lifestyle

While the area remains quiet and residential, the Annex’s short distance to Bloor Street is what residents love most. The restaurants, shops, and much more offer everything that a downtown resident could want. Then, there’s the beautiful campus – perfect for a stroll.
