Situated 13 km south of Cranbrook on Gold Creek Road, the 1026-acre Gold Creek Ranch offers expansive 360° mountain views and is well suited for horse breeding, cattle ranching, commercial peat production, or use as a gentleman’s ranch. Surrounded by Crown land on 3 sides, the area features exceptional hunting for deer, elk and moose, plus endless trails and roads for trucks, ATVs or horseback riding. Much of the merchantable timber has been harvested, leaving a network of logging roads and a valuable stand of immature timber, while 65 acres of hayfields, older corrals, round pens, covered storage and two historic cabins support grazing or small livestock operations. Additional assets include commercially viable peat, gravel and rock, full fencing and cross-fencing, and four artesian wells. The 4000 sq ft solar-powered home has been upgraded with solar new panels, a high-end Solar Arc system and lithium-ion batteries, backed by a natural gas generator, and offers beamed ceilings, spacious rooms and large decks, complemented by a large works yard and an oversized hay/equipment shed built with Austrian glue-lam beams.
