The De Sario Festival of Lights
The De Sario family has been preparing for the holidays and decorating their North York house into a captivating winter paradise for the past 23 years. Over 50,000 LED lights are often used in the eye-catching light display which is located at 165 Benjamin Boake Trail.
In 1999, the family started the lighting custom in memory of their daughter, who was receiving treatment at SickKids for juvenile diabetes.
People from all over the city have heard about the spectacular light show and swarmed the North York neighbourhood during the Christmas season to see the Festival.
On December 3rd, the De Sario Family Festival of Lights will return, celebrating its 23rd year.

Cavalcade of Lights 2022
For over 50 years, the Cavalcade of Lights has been a staple part of Toronto’s Christmas season. This dazzling festival transforms Nathan Phillips Square and embodies the Canadian winter spirit. The plaza is decked out with over 500,000 LED lights, ice sculptures, and Toronto’s official Christmas tree, an 18-metre-tall spruce tree.
Each night until 10 p.m., the celebrations will convert City Hall and its surroundings into a glittering paradise. Enjoy the dazzling tree, go public skating, and bask in the brightness of thousands of lights that decorate downtown Toronto.
